Make your very own creature whilst learning how to handbuild, in this 2-week creature building workshop!!!
Age Requirement: 16+
Duration: 3hrs per session ★ 2 sessions ★ 6hrs total.
Dates: March 14th & March 21st, 4pm-7pm
April 5th & 12th, 1-4pm
Price: £80
★ There are limited £65 slots available for anyone who may be struggling financially, but would still like the opportunity to take this class. If you can afford the pay the regular price please leave these spots open for someone who may be unable to <3 ★
Course Schedule :
Week 1 will be a sculpting class, where you’ll be taught handbuilding techniques like coil-building and pinch potting. You’ll receive a 15-20 minute demonstration at the start of the class, introducing the different tools and what they’re used for, the different techniques you can use to build up your sculpture and how to attach pieces using slip.
Kayleigh will be on hand throughout the lesson to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have.
Week 2 will be all about decorating your creature using underglaze. Choose from a variety of different colours and paint your creature however you wish! The underglazed creatures will be left to dry for 24hrs before being dipped in a clear glaze and fired.
Each class is 3 hours long.
Firings will be conducted by Kayleigh.
All tools, clay, underglaze & firings are included in the cost. You’ll receive your very own handmade creature at the end :)
